Interview Skill Training:
The impression made in the college interview may be an influential
factor in the admission process. This meeting may set you
apart from others in the applicant pool and allow you the
opportunity to share information beyond what is in your
application. Our Interview Skill Training prepares you for
this important meeting. Our taped "model interview is
a powerful tool providing feedback and instilling confidence
by teaching helpful skills and techniques to take with you
into the admissions office and to utilize throughout your
life.
Application and Essay Review
College Pursuit counselors will review
the entire college application. Students are managing many
details when completing and submitting applications. This
service reviews all components and answers any questions
that apply to the college application.
Essay review provides a comprehensive evaluation of one
or all your application essays. This review includes a discussion
on topic selection and editing grammar, spelling, and sentence
construction.
* College Pursuit counselors will not help
students write essays.
Financial Aid Guidance
There are numerous
sources of financial aid available to offset the rising
costs of college. It is imperative that you are exhaustive
in your research and apply as early as possible.
College Pursuit can help families understand
the complex and deadline-driven process.
In the initial evaluation,
College Pursuit counselors will identify
and address financial aid concerns/questions. If the issues
go beyond the knowledge of a network counselor,
College Pursuit will refer the questions to a financial
aid expert. These professionals are currently working in
Financial Aid offices at colleges.

"Learn as much as possible about the college before your visit.
An interview is a two-way street, so make sure you ask questions about
things that are relevant to you.
- Becky Bowlby,
Director of Admission at
Immaculata University
"Don't be concerned with a college's 'popularity'
or 'status' but rather how well it helps you meet your needs and interests.
- Bill Michuda,
High school guidance counselor
"Don't eliminate colleges based on cost
alone at the beginning of your search. If admitted, their goal
is to make it affordable for you to enroll. "
- Chris Hooker-Haring,
Dean of Admission and Financial aid at Muhlenberg College
